Hello!
Welcome to the second grade class blog! Here you will find updates on what we will be learning in second grade as well as pictures of the work and play that takes place in our classroom. There are calendar, bible memory, and spelling pages above that I will utilize throughout the year to provide you with information.
Our first week in second grade was super! We have enjoyed getting to know one another as individuals and beginning the process of growing together as a group. The All About Me "bagpack" activity was particularly fun for me as I got to enjoy the "non-academic" sides of your children. What broad and unique interests we have represented in our class!
This week we will gradually settle into a more typical routine. Math will include several activities to review counting money while Language Arts will see us building our independent reading stamina and reviewing story elements such as character, setting, and plot. We will begin to delve into the story of Moses and the Israelites, a significant focus of the second grade Bible curriculum.
Thank you for sharing your children with me for the duration of the school year. I am truly honored and grateful to be working so closely with these precious and treasured members of your family.
